My traditional family cooking uses very little tomato on a daily basis. We rely on yoghurt, amchur, tamarind if at all and raw mangoes in season. Not missing tomatoes at all.

What would you have to say about the pre-packaged tomato purée on the market? Is it somewhat comparable in terms of flavour and nutrients until we have easy access to fresh tomato?
